The St. Gabriel Athletic Association (SGAA) coordinates youth sports programs with a focus on promoting character development and forming community and friendships within our parish - guided by our Catholic faith and values.
The SGAA Advisory Board is comprised of parishioners Clay Dimick, Gary King, Bryant Brewer, Megan Deblitz, Matt Carroll and Fr. Richard Sutter.

Youth Basketball: Grades 3 - 12
Registration for St. Gabriel teams opens OCTOBER 1 and is expected to CLOSE EARLY when the number of teams and players we can accommodate (for gym space and practice times) is filled - no later than October 31.
Grades 3-8 Boys and GirlsCoordinated through IFBL (InterFaith Basketball League) Charlotte
Students must be registered St. Gabriel parishioners to participate
Registration closes October 31 or earlier (see above note)
No late registrations!
Fee: $225
Practices begin before Thanksgiving
Games run the first weekend of December - mid-February

My son or daughter is trying out for the school team, can they play IFBL as well?Athletes who are currently on their middle school or high school basketball teams are ineligible to play for IFBL/CYO.When does the season start?A mandatory St. Gabriel coaches meeting will be held in November, with practices beginning before Thanksgiving. The first scheduled games will be posted soon.When does the season end?The basketball season wraps up by mid-February.How can I be a coach?Parishioners interested in coaching a boys' or girls' basketball team must complete Safe Environment Training, attend the November coaches meeting, and be a committed Catholic witness on and off the court.
