Room In the Inn

St. Gabriel Church partners with the Urban Ministry Center and other local churches to provide shelter and food for homeless people in our Parish Center Hall during the winter months, December 1 – March 31.

Every Thursday night/Friday morning during these months, parish volunteers provide:

  • A hot dinner and breakfast, plus a bag lunch when departing
  • Shower and laundry facilities
  • A warm, safe place to sleep on roll away beds in our Parish Center

Volunteer Opportunities

Room In the Inn requires numerous volunteers.  Participating is a wonderful and compassionate way to show Christ's mercy and love to our brothers and sisters in need.  Overnight hosts are required to complete the Protecting God's Children class.  Find training dates here.
