An Introduction to Lectio Divina: Open Yourself to God’s Word

Tuesday, February 19
9:30 am - 11:30 am
Ministry Center, Room D

Deepen your connection with God’s voice through Scripture.   Join us for an introduction to Lectio Divina, a four-step “dance with the Lord” of reading, reflecting, responding, and resting in God’s Word.

Lectio Divina: Divine Reading.  An ancient prayer of the Church, that has no other goal than spending time with God through his Word - Sacred Scripture.  In the gentle back-and-forth of Lectio Divina, from spiritual activity to resting in God, the Holy Spirit transforms our hearts to that of Christ.  Come join in “the dance” as we prepare for Lent!

No cost.  RSVP is required to Cathy Esposito at 704-362-5047 ext. 276 or

An Evening with Anne Nielson

Wednesday, February 27

6:30 - 8:00 pm
Ministry Center
No RSVP needed

Join us for an inspiring evening as Anne Nielson - nationally renowned artist, best know for her ethereal Angel Series - as she shares how her faith has influenced her work and strengthened her calling to serve the homeless and those living in poverty.

Sixteen years ago, Anne Neilson struggled with balancing her life as a wife and mother of four, her passion for painting, and the urge in her heart to help the homeless. After serving 300 neighbors at the Harvest Center one day, she felt the whisper to paint and give back.  She founded two companies, Anne Neilson Home and Anne Neilson Fine Art, both of which support her mission to be a lighthouse in the community and give back through the profits of her products and art.

Some of Anne’s books and home décor items will be available for sale, with a portion of the proceeds supporting local charities.
