Edge Youth Ministry is for all middle schoolers to experience a "Welcome Home!" to Christ and His Church.
This joyful community is a place for youth to experience fun and belonging with their peers, to encounter Christ in a personal way, and to discover how life with Christ is a wonderful adventure.
Youth are welcome and invited to join us no matter where they are at in their spiritual journey.
We've got:
Edge Nights
Most Wednesdays during the school year
6:30 to 8:00 pm
Monthly Friday Socials
Weekend Retreat
Summer Camp
And More!
ALL registered parish families with students in grades 6-8 for the 2024-2025 school year are invited - whether you attend a public, private, Catholic, or home school.
Throughout the year, we have a variety of Edge Nights—from evenings that are more social or service driven to ones focused on the truths of the faith or issues our middle schoolers are experiencing, that are contextualized for their daily lives.
The sessions generally follow this flow:
The sacrament of Confirmation is offered at St. Gabriel Church in 9th grade.
8th graders who want to be confirmed are expected to be actively involved in the parish and sacramental life with their families.
Teens are invited and highly encouraged to participate in Edge to build community and journey together in discipleship.
We want your teen to feel welcomed and to belong. We ask that you make a commitment for the sake of the spiritual life of your child, not just as an expectation for Confirmation. We ask that they are present just as if they were involved in their favorite activity. We want your child to be fully alive and joy-filled individuals. We want them to be prepared to face the difficulties of being a teenager knowing they are not alone but that they have God, family, friends and a church community as their firm foundation. Ultimately, we are here to support you in forming the spiritual life of your child and know it is a privilege and honor.
There is no fee to participate in regular, weekly Edge activities. We ask you to prayefully include support of our Youth Ministry in your regular offertory giving. Our parish is making a significant investment in youth and families, supported entirely through our parishioners' generous stewardship of treasure.
Camps, retreats, and some off-site events require a participant fee.
