Fr. Richard was born in Atlanta, GA. He graduated from Belmont Abbey College in 1991 where he majored in Business Administration with a minor in Spanish. He served in the U.S. Army before entering the seminary and was ordained to the priesthood in 2009. Before being called to join the Diocese of Charlotte, he served in the dioceses of Atlanta and Savannah. Fr. Richard is a tri-athlete and enjoys many outdoor sports.
Fr. Mike comes from a large family of ten kids, and grew up around the country and the world with a father who was an Air Force officer. He was ordained in 2011 and has served as a missionary priest in Haiti and Latin America, overseeing humanitarian and evangelization projects. Fr. Mike considers himself a down-to-earth priest and loves spending time getting to know people. His hobbies include running, reading, writing and oil-painting.
Deacon Michael Goad was ordained May 30, 2014. He has been married to his beloved, Lisa, for twenty years. He grew up in Aiken, SC and moved to Charlotte in 1998. He and his wife have been members of St. Gabriel since that time. He earned his Masters in Theology in 2008 from Loyola in New Orleans. Deacon Michael enjoys jogging, golf, mountain biking and scuba diving. His favorite Bible verse is; “Behold the Almighty One has done great things for me.”
Deacon Chris Vigliotta was ordained in 1983 and served many years in his home parish of St. John the Evangelist (Long Island, NY) and more recently at St. Bernard (Enfield, CT). His ministry has included being a full-time prison chaplain and establishing a program to help inmates upon release to mainstream life. In his earlier years, he served in the Marines and worked in his family's duck farm business. Deacon Chris and his wife Ann have been married since 1966 and recently moved to Charlotte to be close to family.
