St. Gabriel Church family,
We continue to pray for all in western North Carolina whose lives, homes, and communities have been impacted so greatly by Hurricane Helene. In times like this, when we may feel helpless, go to God in prayer and place your trust in Him. Prayer is a very important and powerful spiritual work of mercy. Don't underestimate its power! As true disciples of Jesus, let us blanket the disaster relief effort in prayer.
In your home - your domestic church - gather with your family to pray:
Read Psalm 46:2-12 and Matthew 28:16-20 out loud.
Reflect silently and talk openly about how the Holy Spirit is speaking to you through the Living Word.
Then pray sincerely and openly, begging the Holy Spirit to help all in need.
God is our refuge and our strength, an ever-present help in distress. Psalm 46:2
United with our brothers and sisters in need,
Fr. Richard
