Welcoming Prayer Workshop

Saturday, April 13
10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Ministry Center

The “Welcoming Prayer” addresses the question, when my centering prayer time is over, what is my next step?  It’s about letting go and opening space for God to dismantle the false self system (fear, anger, jealousy, wrong motives, approval addiction, etc.) and heal the wounds of a lifetime.  The Welcoming Prayer supports all forms of prayer and moves one toward wholeness and divine transformation.  Find details and register online here.

Dementia Conversations: Driving, Doctor Visits, Legal and Financial Planning

Thursday, May 9, 6:30 pm  •  Fellowship Hall – Church Building

Join us for “Dementia Conversations”, presented by the Alzheimer’s Association.  When someone is showing signs of dementia, it’s time to talk. Often, conversations with family about changing behaviors can be challenging and uncomfortable.  This program provides tips for breaking the ice with your family so you can address common but difficult topics:  going to the doctor for a diagnosis or medical treatment, deciding when to stop driving, and making legal and financial plans for future care.  No RSVP needed.   Questions?  Contact Ana Lothspeich at 704-362-5047, ext. 212.

Diocesan Young Adults Cookout

Ages 21-39, this is for you!  Young adults, single, newly married, young families...mark your calendars for a great time at beautiful St. Mark Church. It's a quick drive on a Saturday.  Music, food, fellowship, local brews.  Hope to see you there!  See flyer below.   RSVP online here.
