St. Vincent de Paul Ministry

Seeing the Face of Christ in Those We Serve

The St. Vincent de Paul Ministry has been active in St. Gabriel for many years, serving the needs of the poor and disadvantaged with emergency and immediate aid in the form of financial and practical assistance throughout the year, year in and year out.

Christmas Food Baskets

At Christmastime, this ministry prepares 450+ food baskets with home baked desserts for needy families and individuals.  We work closely with Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Charlotte and the Missionaries of Charities, as well as other groups, to identify the basket recipients.  100+ volunteers of all ages gather to assemble the food baskets, celebrating service on behalf of others.
